Gracious Benefactors Show Support at Fundraising Event
Baltimore, Maryland: The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic hosted its annual fundraiser this past weekend. Over sixty guests showed up to support the clinic’s efforts in Nicaragua. The party proved to be a huge success in raising awareness and much needed financial support.
The event took place during Happy Hour at Miguel’s Cocina y Cantina in Baltimore, MD. We offered a buffet of delicious Mexican food and highlighted it with Macua, the national drink of Nicaragua. A silent auction offered numerous items for bidding including gorgeous hand-crafted pottery from Nicaragua. Special thanks to the many businesses who graciously donated to the auction.
The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic provides health care to over 12,000 underprivileged Nicaraguans every year. The clinic offers general and emergency medicine, prenatal care, dental care, ambulatory surgery, lab work, and preventative health education. The clinic also provides volunteer opportunities for health professionals and students of all levels. Volunteering at The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic is the perfect way to combine benevolence with medical education.
