Washington D.C., USA: The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic was represented at the Global Volunteering Fair sponsored by the International Volunteer Programs Association (IVPA). This annual fair provides those who are considering volunteerism with the opportunity to interact face-to-face with national and international volunteer-sending organizations. It also allows these organizations a chance to advertise their program.

The volunteer program at The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic is as rewarding to the volunteers as it is to the patients. Many of our previous volunteers have described their time in Nicaragua as life-changing. We welcome anyone with interest in an international volunteer experience. We have a variety of opportunities for everyone – all areas of healthcare, business and administrative professionals, teachers, social workers, dieticians, high school and college students, and retirees.
The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic provides health care to over 12,000 underprivileged Nicaraguans every year. The clinic provides general and emergency medicine, prenatal care, dental care, ambulatory surgery, lab work, and preventative health education.
