For your Christmas week, I’m sharing a short video of our Pharmacist and Operational Director, Gustavo Ibarra.
Gustavo recently invited Nicaraguan community members to learn more about our Clinic. He summed up our activities here.
When serving our community, Gustavo is the definition of ‘resilient, reliable, and resourceful’: all must-have qualities to persevere and serve in Nicaragua. Gustavo has been on the front lines with our team for almost 15 years, solving healthcare challenges in this impoverished community.
In watching Gustavo’s video, what’s important is not only what Gustavo said, but what he didn’t say:
The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic team provides all these services, 24/7, on a super-small budget. Certainly smaller than we would like, and smaller than the team and communities deserve. There’s so much more we could provide, with your help. Better equipment, more medicines, more lab testing, just to name a few things.
