Your Donation Provides Medicines for Families in Need

Dear Friends of the Roberto Clemente Health Clinic,

It’s that time of year. Your giving this Tuesday will help us plan more confidently for 2026. How?

Our 2025 Impact by the Numbers…

This year our intrepid Clinic Team:

  • Provided 24/7 emergency care every single day
  • Completed 2,500 outpatient visits
  • Conducted monthly rural community health visits, bringing care directly to families who need it most
  • Through our Padrino program: delivered school supplies, checkups, deworming treatments, and specialized medical support to 85 children
  • Awarded 50 university scholarships
  • Distributed 2,500 water jugs and food supplements to 22 schools and municipalities

We also supported life-saving emergency care:

  • Jose arrived just 30 minutes after a motorcycle accident with severe head trauma. Our team stabilized him and arranged his urgent transfer to Rivas.
  • Eliana, age 12, lives with a PCI condition requiring tracheostomy and gastrostomy. Thanks to a visiting pulmonologist, she now receives ongoing checkups, medicine, and nutritional support.
  • Yerlin, who has significant psychomotor impairments, received specialist care, a new bed, and ongoing nutritional supplements through our Padrino donors.

We Have a Giving-Tuesday-2025 Goal: $5,000 More Needed for Our Pharmacy

Nicaragua is the second-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, yet it’s also the safest in Central America – a testament to the resourcefulness, warmth, and resilience of the Nicaraguan people. They make the most of what little they have, and they welcome visitors with extraordinary generosity of spirit.

Here’s the Beautiful Reality: A Little Still Goes a Long Way in Nicaragua.

We offer free medicines for seniors, children, and those out of work. Your Giving Tuesday donation will help us stock our pharmacy and plan our 2026 budget with confidence, ensuring that families who can’t afford medicine will still receive the care they desperately need.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With your support, we’re planning to sustain all critical programs, expand staff training, acquire new medical equipment, including upgraded ultrasound equipment, and begin early planning for an expanded clinic facility to better serve our growing community.

After an unexpected $60,000 facility refurbishment mandated by the government this year, and the tragic loss of our long-time Operations Director, Gustavo Ibarra… the team had to prove their resilience once again. Now we’re asking you to help us start 2026 strong.

Will you help us reach our $5,000 Giving Tuesday goal?

Every donation – whether $25, $100, or $1,000 – brings us closer to fully stocking our pharmacy and ensuring no family is turned away because they can’t afford medicine.

Thank you for standing with the people of Nicaragua. Your compassion crosses borders and saves lives.

Wishing you a happy and healthy Holiday season,

Julia C. Guth
