Dear Friend of the Clinic,
As you may know, our Community Health Fair was put on pause for several years due to COVID-19. This year, we were ecstatic to host our local community again.
On Saturday, January 6, our team put in a backbreaking amount of work to ensure everything was just right for those in need.
Our Clinic staff was up early in the morning setting up to welcome our community located in Tola 1. The staff made preparations to provide medical support in areas such as gynecology, pediatrics and internal medicine – as well as games and entertainment for the whole family. We could never have guessed that so many people would join us… and we could not be happier or prouder of our team and community.
This year, we hosted over 1,000 people, nearly doubling our attendance numbers from previous years.
The Numbers
We provided many medical services, including…
- 50 HIV tests
- 85 diabetes screenings
- 89 ultrasounds
- 26 Pap smears
- 115 glucose tests
- 54 internal medicine cases
- 23 natural medicine cases
- 18 general surgery cases
- 53 dermatological exams
- 135 pediatric physicals
- 67 gynecological exams
- 408 general medicine cases
- 3 emergency transfer cases to the local hospital.
And our team provided all of this for FREE!
