Dear Friend of the NicaClinic,

Last week we introduced you to our Padrino program. Today we want to tell you what sponsorship actually looks like – in a child’s life, week to week, month to month.

When you become a Padrino for $25 or $50 a month, your sponsored child receives (depending on giving amount):

• Free health check-ups at the Roberto Clemente Health Clinic
• Nutritional support packs and access to safe, potable water
• School uniforms, a backpack, and supplies – so a child who might otherwise stay home can walk through those doors

Twice a year, our Programs Director, Enmanuel Sirias sends you a personal update: photos, a written report on your child’s progress, and any additional communication you request. You won’t wonder where your money goes. You’ll see it. It goes directly to the Clinic and to the Child, helping them and their family directly and immeasurably.

Right now, our clinic team has identified 22 children in southwestern Nicaragua – children with special needs, children in extreme poverty – who are waiting for a Padrino or Madrina. These children live in hard-to-access areas, in dirt-floor shacks, where parents have no work or work for very little pay.

Their parents and the Clinic want to help them escape dire poverty by enabling them to become stronger, both physically and intellectually. Your actions today can help make this happen, now.

Father’s Day is in five days. In Nicaragua, families will celebrate on June 23. Here in the U.S., June 21.
