Transform a Child’s Future in Nicaragua for Just $25 a Month

Children participating in a community activity through the Padrino programChildren participating in a community activity through the Padrino program

Dear NicaClinic Supporter,

In southwestern Nicaragua, a young student named Kimberling wakes up each morning with a dream – to finish school and create a better future for herself and her family.

But in Nicaragua, the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, children like Kimberling face challenges that many of us cannot imagine:

  • Many children don’t attend school past 6th grade
  • Families can’t afford basic school supplies or uniforms
  • Children often must work in fields to help support their families
  • Transportation to school is an insurmountable expense for many
  • Chronic health problems go untreated due to lack of medical care
  • Learning disabilities remain undiagnosed and unsupported
  • Difficult home environments including parent abandonment, single-parent households, or domestic abuse create additional trauma.

This is where you can make an extraordinary difference.

The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic’s Padrino program connects sponsors like you directly with children in need. We currently support 72 children from the most impoverished families in the communities surrounding our Clinic. These families are carefully assessed to identify those with the greatest needs.

For just $25 or $50 a month, you can provide a child with:

  • Regular health check-ups and preventive care
  • School supplies and uniforms
  • Nutritional support
  • Educational guidance
  • Physical therapy for children with disabilities and special needs

As a Padrino (godfather) or Madrina (godmother), you’ll receive updates twice a year from our program coordinator, Enmanuel, with photos and progress reports about your sponsored child.

Will you help a child like Kimberling achieve their dreams?

We are looking for more Padrinos and Madrinas for this special Spring Campaign. We have a waiting list of children needing sponsors.

Our primary goal is to get 10 children off the wait list by April 30.

If you can’t wait to make a difference, you can become a Padrino/Madrina right now by going here.

With hope,

Julia C. Guth
Chair, The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic

P.S. Your monthly gift of $25 or $50 can be the difference between a child dropping out after 6th grade or continuing their education through high school and beyond. [Go here to become a Padrino/Madrina today.]

P.P.S. We are a 501c3 non-profit registered in Maryland. Your recurring monthly sponsorship may qualify as tax-deductible to you. We also accept stock and commodity donations.Children participating in a community activity through the Padrino programClinic staff providing educational support to children in the Padrino program
