When my husband and I decided that we wanted to build a vacation/retirement home at the beach in Nicaragua, it was important to us as guests in a new country to feel we were giving, not just taking from our new friends. We were excited to learn of the Roberto Clemente Clinica in our village, even more so to know that it was not only serving the medical needs of the community, but also involving itself in many other ways to advance and enhance the lives of the local people. It has been our pleasure as we have built our home to give of what resources we had available. We have already had opportunity to use the clinic as patients and see first hand the high level of care that this clinic is providing. Even so, one look at the clinic’s website and you will see that they have many needs and that every little bit of help will make a huge difference. It is our intention as we spend more and more time in our new home to make ourselves available as needs arise. We have invested a great deal of our hearts in the country of Nicaragua. It is our dream come true to become a part of such a beautiful place. Our family hopes to make a positive impact on our new community and look forward to sharing its beauty with our neighbors.
