This coming January 23-28, The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic will be hosting a Wellness Weekend trip to Tola, Nicaragua. This is an exclusive opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities of the region, learn about community resilience from Clinic staff, and visit a rich and biodiverse environment.
This trip will include participating in Clinic and outreach programs, being part of the annual Community Health Fair, learning about public health in remote locations, and enjoying world-renowned surfing beaches and superior accommodations at a five-star resort.
The Clinic is visited yearly by many volunteers and practitioners so they can learn more about this type of environment. Under the leadership of the Clinic’s advisory council and board of directors, this trip is designed to bring people of diverse backgrounds together to learn about the Clinic’s experience in building community resiliency.
